BoA was discovered when she was 11 years old while accompanying her brother to an audition at SM Entertainment. Her brother didn’t make it, but BoA caught the eye of the talent scout instead and was signed by the company soon after.
BoA was trained for two-years before releasing ID; Peace B, her debut Korean album in 2000. The result was moderate, but it’s enough to convince Japan’s Avex Agency to make a joint venture with SM to launch her career in Japan.
BoA released a few singles before making releasing Listen to My Heart, her first full Japanese album in March 2002. The album was a huge hit, and BoA became the first Korean to top Japan’s Oricon sales chart. Following Japan’s success, BoA launched her 2nd Korean album No.1 in April, which became one of the best selling albums of the year. She was just 16 then.
BoA’s popularity continue to grow across Asia over the years; she is one of only two artists to have six consecutive albums topping Oricon chart. Her popularity in Korea dipped a little though, probably due to her lack of activities there.
It’s also a known fact that BoA is interested in acting. She voiced for Korean version of Animated film The Hedge in May 2006; there were rumours that she would be starring in a full movie, but SM has other plans in mind…
In September 2008, SM announced the plan for BoA’s American debut. She released a digital single Eat You Up in October 2008 and her self-titled debut English album in March 2009. A repackaged deluxe album was released in August.
BoA released her seventh Japanese album, Identity, in February 2010. She also released Hurricane Venus in August, her first Korean album in five years, which did very well. She also made a cameo appearance in drama series Athena.
To date BoA has released (excluding singles and compilations) nine Korean studio albums, seven Japanese albums and one English album, with decent sales record overall. An amazing feat considering the fact that the pop star is just 23 of age.

Rain has been popular for his singing and dancing talents since he was a teenager. As a young teen, Rain fell in love with dancing. In order to make his dream of becoming a singer come true, Rain joined a dance music group named "Fan Club". The dance group was made up of 6 male members . After releasing its 2nd album in 1999, Fan Club decided to disband. After the band broke up, Rain was scouted by noted producer and entertainer Park Jin-young and had another chance to make it in the local entertainment industry. Park Jin-young believed that Rain's vocal ability and dance moves were sophisticated and strong and decided to train him to become a top star in the local pop music world.

Three years of hellish training behind closed doors , devoting more than 20 hours each day. He tore his life into two parts: One half dedicated to singing, the other half to dancing.
This was the life Rain went through before he became a pop sensation, and it is still ongoing even now. 

His early life

Rain spent most of his childhood living with his parents and younger sister, Jeong Hanna, near Hongik University. Despite being an introverted and shy child, he discovered he had a passion for dance when he performed in a talent show for Sungmoon Junior High School. Rain initially had a difficult time balancing dance and academics and received low grades during the beginning of junior high because of his frequent dance practices. He decided to follow his passion and attended Anyang High School of Arts, where he received his first formal instruction in acting and was able to continue dancing as well. Rain again found he could not focus on both dance and his studies in acting; he was truant on several occasions.

Rain lost his mother as she struggled with diabetes and died in 2000. Within that same year, Rain was recruited as a trainee for JYP Entertainment, led by recording artist and producer Park Jin Young in 2000. In a CNN interview, however, he recalled being repeatedly rejected because of his looks: "In fact, I was told after one audition that my singing and dancing was great but I didn't make it because I didn't have double eyelids. During the early years of training, Rain was a backup dancer.

Epik High

Epik High adalah sebuah band hip hop dari Korea Selatan. Band ini terdiri dari Tablo(rapping dan vocals), Mithra Jin(rapping dan vocals), dan DJ Tuktz(DJ).

Epik High awalnya tidak dikenal karena kurangnya popularitas hip hop di Korea. Keberhasilan mereka dimulai dengan merilis album kedua mereka, berjudul "High Society".

Atas keberhasilan album ketiga mereka, "Swan Songs",yang dirilis pada akhir tahun 2005. Epik High telah menjadi salah satu kelompok hip-hop paling populer di Korea. "Fly", dan "Paris" (Feat. Jisun dari Loveholic) dari album ketiga mereka menjadi hits di Korea, mencapai nomor satu di banyak saluran musik Korea maupun di chart musik online. "Fly" juga dipilih untuk video game FIFA 07 dan Pump It Up, lagu ini kini telah menjadi lagu populer untuk penari / freestylers.

Album keempat Epik High, "Remapping the Human Soul", dirilis pada 23 Januari 2007 telah menunjukkan gaya musik yang sangat berbeda dari album sebelumnya. "Fan",dan "Love Love Love" telah hits besar di tahun 2007.

Pada 2008, Epik High mengeluarkan album ke lima mereka yang berjudul " Pieces, Part One". Video musik single pertama dari album ini adalah "One" yang menampilkan Jisun dari Loveholic dan aktris Korea Jung Ryu-won. Tak lama setelah "One", musik video untuk "Breakdown" dan "Umbrella" diciptakan.

Setelah sukses dengan "Pieces, Part One," Epik High merilis mini-album, berjudul Lovescream. Ini adalah pertama mini-album sejak debut mereka pada tahun 2003 yang keluar pada September 30, 2008. Mini-album ini memperoleh sukses besar dari judul lagu "1 Minute 1 Second".

Awal 2009, Epik High berpisah dengan label lama mereka Woolim Entertainment, dan mendirikan Map The Soul, sebuah label rekaman independen yang saat ini terdiri dari Epik High, MYK, Planet Shiver dan Dok2.

Sebuah pekerjaan Epik High yang ke tujuh adalah sebuah buku-album berjudul "魂: Map The Soul," dirilis pada tanggal 27 Maret 2009. Sepenuhnya independen dari label besar, buku-album ini didistribusikan secara eksklusif di situs Epik High, MapTheSoul.com. YouTube menunjukkan kemajuan Epik High saat mereka dicatat dan menciptakan album dengan bantuan seniman lain seperti MYK, Kero One dan Beatbox DG. Tablo menyatakan bahwa 魂:Map The Soul adalah album yang tidak resmi, tetapi adalah sebuah proyek khusus.

Untuk memperingati rilis pertama mereka di bawah label independen mereka dan untuk berinteraksi dengan fans, Epik High tur ke berbagai kota di Amerika Serikat (New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco dan Seattle) bersama dengan Kero One, MYK dan Far East Movement pada Mei 2009.

Pada tanggal 22 Juli 2009, Epik High dan kelompok elektronik yang mereka bina, Planet Shiver, bergabung dan merilis album dengan rekaman ulang, remix dan versi remaster lagu-lagu masa lalu Epik High yang berjudul Remixing The Human Soul.

Pada tanggal 14 Agustus 2009, Tablo mengungkapkan di blog-nya bahwa mereka sedang mengerjakan album baru yang disebut "[e]". Pada tanggal 16 September 2009, album ke 6 Epik High, "[e]", dirilis. Album ini berisi 30 lagu di dalam 2CD dan sebuah buku dengan 76 halaman, yang berisi wawancara dari setiap anggota serta foto-fotonya. Tur Korea dimulai pada tanggal 19 September, tepat setelah merilis album. Single pertama untuk (e) adalah "따라해 (Wannabe)" yang featuring Mellow, dan merupakan lagu elektronik-pop yang mengkritik tren K-POP saat ini. Tak lama kemudian, sebuah video musik untuk Trot dan High Technology pun di rilis.

Pada tanggal 15 Oktober 2009, DJ Tukutz sementara meninggalkan grup untuk memulai layanan wajib militer selama dua tahun. Epik High saat ini hiatus karena masalah ini.

Namun, dalam pengumuman video yang dirilis oleh Tablo, lagu baru dari grup tersebut akan dirilis. Tak lama setelah itu, album "Epilogue" dirilis pada tanggal 9 Maret.

Epik High telah menciptakan album baru mereka dengan lagu baru mereka "Run" di mana mereka menunjukkan refleksi yang sama sekali baru dari apa yang mereka sebelumnya. Album baru ini berisi lagu yang kurang dari yang terakhir namun ini di dedikasi untuk seluruh penggemar mereka dan mereka terima kasih kepada semua untuk semua dukungan mereka, sambil mereka menunggu DJ Tukutz untuk menyelesaikan tugas militer.

Tablo dan Mithra pun telah mulai bekerja di album solo mereka masing-masing.
Pada 3 Agustus 2010 Mithra Jin juga ikut tugas wajib militer.
